LAUNCHING TOWARDS THE SKY

WHO ARE WE

We are a team of young, bright, starry eyed engineering students from KTH, Stockholm and we are trying to design a rocket payload which would be tested in microgravity. Our Project aims to  demonstrate high quality measurements of the Earth’s magnetic field from a CubeSat platform using a self deploying boom carrying two magnetometers. The team is participating on the German/Swedish REXUS/BEXUS program and our experiment is intended to be flown on the REXUS 30 rocket in March 2021.

OUR ENGINEERING MISSION

The Bi-stable Boom Dynamic Deployment experiment aims to flight qualify a bi-stable composite boom which is deployed from a CubeSat like platform in low gravity. The experiment is conducted by a team of students from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm with the goal of familiarising themselves with applied space missions as a preparation for a future career in the aerospace industry.
